My parents, Larry and Barb, met on a blind date set up by Barb’s brother in August, 1956. It was love at first sight! After a short courtship, they married on July 13, 1957. They have always kept God as the cornerstone of their marriage and rely on prayer to get them through the tough times.

Larry enjoyed a long career as a pressman for The Milwaukee Journal, often working extra shifts, as a Christian education for his children was very important to him. He retired in 1994. Before meeting Barb, he served in the army from 1951-1953. He loves his crossword puzzles! And still does them daily to keep his mind sharp. Larry has always been and still is very devoted to serving at church, whether it be an usher, communion server or steward.
One of Barb’s favorite jobs was a librarian in Waukesha, WI. To this day, she enjoys reading biographies and political books (actual books, no digital formats for her!) She was a wonderful stay-at-home mom and very involved in church activities, girl scouts and school events for her children.
Mom and Dad were involved in bowling leagues, golf leagues (which Dad is still a part of at age 90!) and playing cards with friends. Always enjoying things they did TOGETHER no matter what it was.
In 1989, they purchased a cabin in Crivitz, WI and love the community there. After living in Milwaukee for 46 years, they moved to their current home in Crivitz.
They are proud parents of 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
