Jerry & Judy Richard

Jerry and Judy Richard were married on September 14, 1963, in Aurora, Illinois, beginning a lifelong covenant grounded in their shared faith in Jesus Christ. Jerry, born in Lostant, Illinois, and Judy, born in Varna, Illinois, committed early in their marriage to honor the Lord not only in their home but in every sphere of life.

Shortly after their wedding, they moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where both began working at Mercy Medical Center and started raising their family. Judy served faithfully as a teaching Registered Nurse, investing in the next generation of nurses with skill and compassion. Jerry built a distinguished career as a chief lab technician and later in medical sales. Throughout their lifelong careers in the medical field, they viewed their work not simply as employment, but as ministry—caring for others with integrity, professionalism, and Christlike character. They welcomed two children, Lisa (1967) and Brian (1969), and through multiple relocations—from Oshkosh to Burlington in 1971 and finally to Stevens Point in 1979—their marriage remained steady and deeply rooted in faith. Today, their legacy includes four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who have been shaped by their example of enduring love and devotion.

For more than six decades, Jerry and Judy’s marriage has been marked by faithful service in the local church and a shared passion for the gospel. They have actively served in church communities throughout their lives and are devoted members of Brookridge Church in Plover, Wisconsin. Jerry has led numerous men’s Bible studies, discipling and encouraging others to grow in their walk with Christ, while Judy has consistently supported and strengthened ministry through hospitality, prayer, and service. Together, they extended their ministry globally through four mission trips to Russia, as well as additional trips to Belarus and Ukraine, where they worked alongside pastors to encourage and equip local church leaders. They also served in Guatemala, sharing the hope of Jesus Christ and supporting ministry efforts there. Their willingness to sacrifice time, comfort, and resources reflects a marriage united not only by affection but by shared purpose in advancing God’s kingdom.
