Gerald & Kathryn Kostroski

Gerald and Kathryn graduated from Wausau High School together in 1951. They were married in Mercer, WI. It rained all weeka nd after hanging streamers on Friday, Katie and her father, Clarence Litzer, had to re-hang everything as it was all on the ground! The netting on Katie’s dress kept stretching and dragging on the ground because of the rain and humidity. So Katie’s mother, Martha, got scissors and cut it off!
They lived in Chicago for a period of time, before making Wausau, WI their home for 60+ years. They have 4 children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jerry enjoys an occasional game of golf, and Katie enjoys putting puzzles together. They still go to Polka dances and make a couple of laps around the dance hall!
This coming September 11th will be their 70th wedding anniversary! Jerry turned 91 in December, and Katie will be 91 this March.
Marriage Advice: If you have the opportunity to travel and see different sites in our world – do it, while you still can, while you can still get around to enjoy it!
