I would like to nominate my parents for the marriage Hall of Fame. I believe they are most deserving of this recognition. They met through mutual friends back when roller skating and dances were the popular thing to do. They have weathered the storm through good times, and challenges. They have raised a family of 5 children, 7 grand children, and 5 great grand children. Almost 4 years ago, they lost 1 child to cancer and are now guiding a special needs grandchild.
I am proud of my parents. Everything they taught me, and instilled in me the values of life. They are most deserving of this recognition. At one point, my dad had 5 siblings & their spouses that were all married 60 plus years. Unfortunately, we have lost 3 of those family members. My dad’s mother was 106 years young when she past away. We lost her during COVID when no one could go visit her. Before that dad would go see her, and take her sweet treats which she loved. Mom is the rock that holds it all together. Dad spent many years being away from home building bridges. Mom was always there holding it all together. Preparing food, cleaning, and, accepting challenges that come with life.
