Carl and Marilynn met in Rudolph, Wisconsin. Carl worked on Marilynn’s family farm in the summer of 1958. Carl kept asking Marilynn out for over a year before she agreed. Their first date was to an outdoor movie theater in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. In the fall of 1960 Carl proposed to Marilynn and they were united in marriage in April of 1961.
They had their wedding reception at Hillside Dance hall outside of Nekoosa, Wi. They had over over 200 family and friends where they finished 15 barrels of beer during their celebration. They made home in a 1 bedroom house just outside of Nekoosa. Carl worked at Kurt’s Dairy while Marilynn stayed home and raised the first of 5 sons. After a couple of years Carl and Marilynn made the move to Larsen when Carl took a job working at Morgan doors. In 1965 they moved to Menasha until 1967 when they had their second of 5 children. They ended up buying a house in Neenah, WI where they had 3 more sons. They reside there still to this day!
