Nancy and I married on December 1st, 1962. We were only 18 and 17 at the time. We had 6 children of our own and when the youngest graduated from high school we got involved with foster care and had 17 foster babies in our home. In 1996 we adopted 4 children and raised them. They were 6, 8, 10 and 12 at the time they came to live with us.
When the last one graduated from high school, we brought my parents to live with us in 2007. My dad passed away in 2010 at the age of 93, and my mother passed away in 2017 at the age of 96.
Nancy and I have the privilege of having a total of 74 in our family with 3 more coming this year as 3 of our granddaughters are expecting this year. Our family has been a tremendous blessing to us, and we thank the Lord for blessing us these past 60 years.
Marriage Advice: No 2 people are totally compatible. There will be challenges. Our one constant through all the years is having Jesus Christ included in the marriage. Our love for Jesus Christ has enabled us to love each other.
