“They are coming for your children.” I’ve said that publicly and had people challenge me, accusing me of exaggerating, being an alarmist or overly dramatic, or using scare tactics. I know I’m not being any of those. I just know the truth when I see it.

Of course, the big news on this is Disney, which used to traffic in wholesome family entertainment, but now has decided it’s better to traffic in convincing young children that men dressing and acting like women, or women dressing and acting like men is normal. Actually, that’s what is known today as grooming.

A video was leaked last week in which Disney President Karey Burke stated she wants a “minimum of 50 percent of its characters to be LGBTQIA” or of another minority group. “I’m here as the mother of two queer children,” Burke said during the Zoom call, “one transgender child and one pansexual child.” She claimed that “going forward,” Disney should be telling her children’s stories.

To make matters worse, Disney’s Animation Executive Producer bragged about her attempt to groom young children. “Our leadership over there has been so welcoming to my not-so-secret gay agenda,” she said. “Wherever I could I was adding queerness. No one would stop me and no one was trying to stop me.”

Further, Production Coordinator Allen March boasted about a “tracker” he uses to meet quotas for LGBT characters in a new Disney TV series called “Moon Girl.” Not only is he working to ensure that LGBT characters make an appearance, he also aims to center stories around these characters.

The lion’s share of all this comes from the left’s outrage over the bill Florida Governor DeSantis signed into law last week protecting the rights of parents by prohibiting schools from teaching kindergarten through third-grade students about gender identity and sexual orientation. Disney execs were originally silent about the bill, but then under pressure apologized to the LGBTQ+ radicals and eventually overtly opposed it.

Christopher Rufo, the journalist who leaked the video, said he’s received numerous messages from parents who are cutting all ties with Disney over its attempt to indoctrinate their children.

Locally, three school board candidates in Eau Claire recently blew the whistle on a teacher- training session that took place in the Eau Claire School District in late February. A portion of the session included the leaders telling the teachers, whom they refer to as "facilitators,” “to guide this discussion [about sexual and gender identity]. Remember, parents are not entitled to know their kids’ identities. That knowledge must be earned."  One of the teachers in the district has brazenly posted a sign in her classroom that reads, "If Your Parents Aren’t Accepting Of Your Identity, I’m Your Mom Now."

It’s no wonder that the number of children reporting symptoms of gender dysphoria is on the rise. Gender ideology is being intentionally made part of their entertainment and education. They are constantly inundated with dark and dangerous messages about this subject that threaten to corrupt their developing minds and could even result in their making life-changing decisions.  It is reasonable to expect that the rates of gender dysphoria among youths will only increase as this grooming increases in both education and entertainment

Florida State Representative Joe Harding warned that the left is using Disney to further its agenda and believes parents need to fight back. “[The Left has made] Disney, which is in every home in America…part of their arm of influence. If we do not make this the last stand — [if we] do not make this a turning point, I believe it could be too late to recover from it.”  The same could be said of what’s happening in school districts all across Wisconsin and the nation.

Parents must be vigilant when it comes to what their children are being exposed to at school and from the media and entertainment world, including knowing the truth of Disney’s concerted effort to groom their children. It’s up to parents to make decisions for their family going forward.

I end as I began. They are coming for your children. I wish it weren’t true, but it is. It’s not a bluff; it’s not an overstatement. It’s the truth.  If parents don’t take action, they are risking that their children will be sucked into a dark and dangerous world instead of walking in the light as a child of God, secure in how He created them.
