School Choice Legislation Helps Preserve Education Freedom

School choice empowers families to stand together.

As school choice programs have gained momentum across the country, many Americans have expressed concerns over preserving education freedom as state and federal funds enters private and home education. In an article from the Daily Signal, however, researcher Corey DeAngelis argues that these programs are a valuable tool for preserving, rather than diminishing, education freedom. DeAngelis explains that when families become allies through these programs, they are empowered to stand together and have a stronger defense against government overreach.

For decades, private and home education has faced attacks from government officials at the state and federal level. But strong school choice legislation gives families a basis to defend and protect their freedoms. In Wisconsin, we are thankful for the school choice legislation already in place and we pray that the legislature continues to create policies that support education freedom.
