Report: Happiness Doubles for Married People Who Attend Church

Report: Happiness Doubles for Married People Who Attend Church

This report is unsurprising.

A joint report from Institute for Family Studies and Wheatley Institute found that married men and women who attend church regularly are between two and three times more likely to report being happy and fulfilled in their marriage. In addition, married couples who keep religious practices central in their homes report overall higher levels of satisfaction in almost every aspect of life. These findings show a clear relationship between Christ-centered marriage and happiness.

The results of this report are unsurprising. When a marriage is built on a foundation of faith, the likelihood of its survival will be significantly higher than a marriage built on a foundation of selfish pursuits. The blessings found within a Christ-centered marriage are truly a gift from God.
