Last week, the Department of Health and Human Services published the peer-reviewed final version of their report detailing the outcomes of transgender drugs and surgeries for minors. Unsurprisingly, the report confirmed, as it did in the first version published in May, that these so-called treatments cause significant and at times irreversible harm to children. Considering these findings, HHS Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has condemned the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics for supporting these drugs and procedures.

For too long, members of the medical community have supported so-called transgender treatments for minors with little to no evidence that it would provide any benefit. This report leaves no room for confusion: encouraging minors toward gender-confusion causes lasting harm.
