Today is Good Friday. As we prepare our hearts to reflect on the glorious hope of Christ’s resurrection this Easter Sunday, let us also reflect on His sacrificial death that made a way for mankind to be redeemed to God. Isaiah 53:5 says, “he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” Without this sacrifice, there would be no way for redemption. With His wounds we are healed.

I hope we can take time today to reflect on the reality of what Jesus did for us when He willingly gave Himself as our substitute and paid our sin-debt on the cross. Praise God He didn’t remain in the grave, but rather He conquered death ensuring that because He lives, we too shall live. He is risen! He is risen indeed!
