Back to School!

Parents help set the tone for the new school year.

Wisconsin’s public, private, and charter schools have either already begun or will soon. Parents can help their children get off to a good start by talking to them about this being a new school year, a new teacher, a new classroom and what that will mean for them. Encourage them to look for new students to befriend. Talk and read together. hash out the homework routine you expect of them before school starts. Make back-to-school prep exciting.

Kids really do take so much of their cues for how they view a new school year from their parents. With some planning, parents can help ensure their kids are prepared for leaving summer behind and embracing a new school year. Be sure to pray with your children each morning. A short prayer together for them and their teachers can make a huge difference in their day!
