Assembly Passes Bipartisan Bill to Protect Children Online

It requires age verification for pornography sites

Last Thursday, Wisconsin’s State Assembly passed AB 105 with bipartisan support, a measure that would require adult websites with explicit content to verify the ages of users before granting access to the platform. 19 states have already implemented age-verification laws to protect children from harmful online content, and sixteen other states, including Wisconsin, are currently considering such measures.

Age verification laws like AB 105 are a necessity in the digital age. This bill will help parents ensure their children are not exposed to online pornography, which we know can deeply impact a child’s developing brain. We’re glad that Wisconsin legislators have put party affiliations aside and come together on this issue to protect children.
