The Kaiser Family Foundation recently released a poll showing that only 24% of Americans know that chemical abortions, also known as the abortion pill, are the primary method for abortion in the US and only 18% believe these abortions are unsafe. In addition, most respondents support unregulated access to chemical abortion. This is alarming since a recent study found that more than one in ten women who take the abortion pill will end up in the emergency room with a serious adverse effect like hemorrhaging or sepsis.

Although awareness surrounding the dangers of the abortion pill has risen in recent years, many still believe that this life-ending procedure is safe. It's time for doctors and clinics to be honest with women about the risks of these drugs. And we as pro-life voices need to educate those around us about the horrors of the abortion pill.
