January Is Sanctity of Human Life Month
January is Sanctity of Human Life Month, officially designated as such in 1984 by then-President Ronald Reagan. During this month, we recognize the importance and value of every life, while also mourning the legalizing of abortion-on-demand all across the country by a rogue US Supreme Court on January 22, 1973—a court that acted in a judicially activist manner, resulting (to date) in the extinguishing of over 62 million babies while still in their mothers’ womb.

On Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 17, it is important for churches to preach and teach on the sanctity of life, which is a biblical issue not a political one. We hope churches all across Wisconsin will do something during a Sunday service on January 17, or some time this month, to reinforce God’s Truth about life and the atrocity of abortion. For access to FREE resources, CLICK HERE.

Did you know? Wisconsin’s “Choose Life” license plates have raised just under $100,000 to date that has been disbursed to our valuable, life-affirming, woman-saving pregnancy resource centers across the state? Click HERE to learn more or get yours today!

How You Can Help — We are currently in the process of collecting information about pro-life events being held across Wisconsin to honor the sanctity of life as well as mourn the devastating loss of life since Roe v Wade. If you know of an event, plan on attending one or would like to promote an event you are offering, please contact our office as soon as possible but no later than Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Email us HERE or call us at 608-256-3228 (Madison) or 888-378-7395 (toll free). Thank you!

March for Life 2021

On Saturday, January 2, 2021, a team from Wisconsin Family Council rang in 2021 with the March for Life Wisconsin (this year part of Chicago’s Moving the Movement Tour), along with Wisconsin Right to Life and the Wisconsin Catholic Conference, starting with a drive-in rally that was held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison and ending with a drive/walk around the Capitol Square downtown and a diaper collection.

Plan NOW to Celebrate!
National School Choice Week is January 24-30, 2021

During National School Choice Week, schools and organizations across Wisconsin partner with families to raise awareness about the different K-12 education options available to children.

Here in Wisconsin, we have numerous school choice options beyond traditional public schools:

Private school (on a private pay basis)
Parental choice program school (voucher program)
Charter school (form of experimental public school)
Virtual school (computer-based, digital public school)
Open enrollment (non-resident public school)
Homeschooling

45 Abortion “Clinics” Closed Down in 2020

Lifenews reports that a recent survey done by Operation Rescue shows that nationwide forty-five abortion clinics closed or halted abortions in 2020 and that seventy-nine percent of all abortion clinics open in 1991 have shut down. Surgical abortion facilities have decreased thirty-six percent in the last ten years, while abortion pill facilities have increased significantly in recent years. Wisconsin abortion facility numbers did not change last year. Currently, there are four abortion facilities in the state: two in Milwaukee and one each in Sheboygan and Madison.

Julaine Appling, Wisconsin Family Council president, says, “Anytime abortion facilities close, we rejoice. However, we are very concerned about increased access to chemical or medical abortions. Right now in Wisconsin, Planned Parenthood has filed a lawsuit that would expand access to chemical abortions, including allowing women to receive these potent prescriptions through video links without ever actually seeing a physician in person.”
