After last week’s defeat of two pro-life amendments in Kentucky and Montana and the passage of pro-abortion amendments in California, Michigan, and Vermont, some are saying maybe the overturning of Roe v Wade this past June hurt the pro-life cause more than helped it. But pro-life experts report that in the two months after the court decision, ten thousand fewer abortions took place nationwide in comparison to previous months because thirteen states are now protecting almost all preborn children. Saving unborn children is a win.
While we definitely would have liked different outcomes on these five amendments, we still rejoice that with the overturning of Roe, Wisconsin is one of those thirteen states where most abortions are no longer legal. We have much work yet to do in the pro-life movement to win hearts and minds, but every day that unborn babies are saved is a good day.
