With April well underway, it’s time to remind parents that the registration window for a couple of Wisconsin’s educational options is still open. The statewide parental choice program, which allows parents who don’t live in Milwaukee or Racine to send their child to a private school using a state-issued voucher, has registration available until April twenty-first. Open enrollment, which lets a student attend a public school that is not in the district where he or she lives, ends on April twenty-ninth. Application information is available at dpi.wi.gov.
Now’s the time for parents to be thinking about educational options for next year! We are blessed to have quite a bit of educational freedom for families in our state, but registration deadlines are looming. The Milwaukee and Racine voucher programs have rolling registration opportunities throughout the year; but the statewide voucher program option ends in just two weeks.
Our mission is to advance Judeo-Christian principles and values in Wisconsin by strengthening, preserving, and promoting marriage, family, life and liberty.
