Proposed WI Vaccine Bills

Proposed WI Vaccine Bills

These 2 bills relate to vaccinations & exemptions.

Earlier this week a Democrat representative and a Democrat state senator introduced bills dealing with vaccines. One of the bills allows minors to receive vaccines without parental consent and the other would eliminate the personal conviction exemption for immunizations. Currently, state law has three vaccine exemptions: medical, religious, and personal conviction, with personal conviction being by far the most frequently used exemption.

The only reason these bills won’t go anywhere now is because conservatives have the majority in both the senate and the assembly. If that were to change, say, as a result of our now liberal state supreme court throwing out our current legislative maps, then these bills would be on the governor’s desk in a nanosecond, and he would definitely sign them. Elections can definitely result in the usurpation of parental rights.
