Kettle Moraine School District New Policy

The Kettle Moraine school district has decided to implement an existing policy that prohibits staff from using their positions to promote partisan politics, sectarian religious views, selfish propaganda for personal, monetary or nonmonetary gain. This includes displaying Pride flags and also prohibits pronouns, political language and religious views from staff emails and signatures. Under the policy, Black Lives Matter, Thin Blue Line, and We Back the Badge signs and flags could be considered political.

This policy makes sense. It treats everyone equally. Some students identifying with the LGBTQ agenda are upset, but that’s because they are used to special rights. Basically the policy says school personnel cannot in school or in official school communications overtly promote a personal, religious or political belief or agenda.
