Earlier this month the NY times released an investigative piece showing that fetal tests are wrong as much as 85% of the time. The article reads that mothers are led to believe that a blood test done in the first trimester can detect with remarkable accuracy serious developmental problems in the DNA of their baby. Turns out this is all hype. Unfortunately, never being told the accuracy of these tests many expectant mothers tragically decide to abort their babies
