Christian Headlines reports that on Monday Christian Employers Alliance, a nonprofit ministry, won a major court victory when a federal judge blocked two Biden administration rules. Both rules prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity. One of the rules requires employers to provide and pay for health insurance that covers medical procedures surrounding gender transition, including surgery and counseling. The second rule requires healthcare workers to perform gender transition surgeries and procedures.
Of course, these rules conflict with the Alliance’s religious beliefs that “male and female are immutable realities defined by biological sex” and that “gender reassignment is contrary to Christian Values.” This is a victory for all Christian-owned and operated businesses that want to take care of their employees without fear of fines or other punitive measures.
