Building a Christian worldview for Children

Building a Christian worldview into children grows more critical every day. It’s a responsibility that rests with parents. The right worldview gives us a solid reference point in the midst of the cultural storms that are becoming more frequent and more prevalent. Kids need to be able to take what they hear and see and immediately have some reference point for how to rightly think about what they are hearing or seeing. That reference point must be the Bible. Regularly reading, memorizing and talking about Scripture is a great way to begin this process.

Family devotions is a good first step in this worldview-building process, but some systematic, in-depth study devoted specifically to thinking biblically about issues such as life, marriage, family, wealth, government, human sexuality and more needs to happen. Parents should check with their church leaders for recommendations on worldview programs designed especially for families.
