Christian Post reports that millions of American women of childbearing age have significant gaps in their understanding of the process and benefits of adoption, according to new research. The findings from Doctor George Barna and the Cultural Research Center suggest about half of all women of childbearing age are unaware of how adoption works and its benefits. Teenage girls registered the lowest level of basic adoption knowledge, with just twenty-three percent having such knowledge, compared to fifty-three percent of women nationwide.

Adoption is a beautiful, lifesaving option for the child and a life-changing answer to prayer for adoptive parents. When women understand the options that can come with adoption, they’ll be more likely to choose it over abortion.
