On June twenty-fourth two years ago, the US Supreme overturned the infamous Roe v. Wade decision of forty-nine years earlier. Since that ruling, abortion has been a hot topic in national discussions, in politics, and in elections. In some states, such as Texas, the number of abortions has been drastically reduced, while in other states, the number has grown. The difference is all about the laws in those states.
In Wisconsin, our pre-Roe abortion ban worked for over a year to dramatically reduce abortions. However, the law was challenged in court; and once Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin began doing abortions again in Madison, Milwaukee, and Sheboygan while waiting for a definitive ruling, our abortion rates tragically went up. As a pro-life organization, we remain committed to working towards a culture of life and the end of abortion.
Our mission is to advance Judeo-Christian principles and values in Wisconsin by strengthening, preserving, and promoting marriage, family, life and liberty.
