Lorri Pickens, Director of Citizens Against Expanded Gambling speaks to forum attendees in Burlington

Citizens Against Expanded Gambling (CAEG) and Wisconsin Family Council partnered to hold their first forum this past Tuesday evening, drawing a crowd of nearly 40 participants in Burlington. The forum informed citizens on the facts about the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) industry, the impact of legalized internet gambling and provided effective tools of engagement to combat expected legislation from the Wisconsin State Legislature.

The presentation was part of Wisconsin Family Council’s “2017: What Now?” event.  The emphasis was on “Responsible Optimism,” as we consider opportunities we have. Other topics discussed, in addition to gambling expansion, included organizational updates, election results, WFC and WFA legislative priorities, and the importance of connecting with legislative officials.
