Honor god by choosing well

Honor god by choosing well

When did you last reflect on the truth that government is God’s idea? Scripture teaches that government was instituted by God in Genesis 9:6. In the New Testament, Paul asserts that governmental authority is ordained by God, and he identifies the legitimate functions of government, namely to promote what is good and to punish evil-doers (Rom 13:1-7, I Peter 2:13-17). God cares enough about our leaders to command us to pray for them (I Tim. 2:1-4). Doesn’t it make sense for us to also engage in choosing them?

What is a common denominator in the lives of the vast majority of troubled youth? The absence of a father or the lack of his involvement.
