The normally formal US Senate has been co-opted by people standing up and yelling, attempting to disrupt the proceedings, hoping to delay the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh, President Trump’s most recent appointment to the US Supreme Court. Even senators sitting on the Judiciary Committee have been disruptive and almost insulting. What seems to be lost to many is what issues these individuals are predominantly referencing in their rants and protests—abortion and marriage.

“So many times supposedly conservative politicians tell me our issues of marriage, family, life and religious freedom are irrelevant and unimportant. They’re wrong. The left fears losing abortion on demand and the redefinition of marriage. I’m not advocating for protests, but I do wonder how many Christians are willing to actively defend God’s plan for life and marriage?”
