Governor Scott Walker doesn’t have a great deal more time to decide if he’ll approve a new casino in Kenosha—a first-of-its-kind off-reservation casino. Julaine Appling, president of Wisconsin Family Council, disagrees, “Taking card-check off the table doesn’t change in any way the harm that another casino will do to Wisconsin’s best resource—her families. It won’t change the loss of small, family-run businesses, or the increase in crime that happens when casinos come to a community. The governor still has every reason to say no to this casino.”
