Election 2016 is just days away. Apart from the race for president, we have many other very important races on the rest of the ballot and possibly also local referendums.
We hope you will take the opportunity from the pulpit and/or via the bulletin this Sunday to remind and encourage those in your church to vote, and to vote for the very best candidates possible.
We believe that voting is one way to be a good steward of our earthly citizenship. It is one way we can be salt and light and seek the well-being of our children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Proverbs 29:2)
Often candidates for an office will not clearly fall into the category of “the righteous,” but we should seek to vote for those who come more closely to that standard than their opponent(s).*
**To that end, we make available to you an Election Sunday flier (pictured right). It’s available HERE.
Electing officials who share these values is just one way we can make a difference for good in our state.
Thank you for all you have done, and will do, to help your people be encouraged, to live faithfully, and to do their part as citizens of heaven to be good citizens here on earth. What a blessing to know that we serve a Sovereign God, and that as we do our part to be faithful, we can trust Him to use our efforts as He deems best.
If we may be of service to you in some way, please be sure to call us!
