Pray for Marriage

We need to pray that God will rule and over-rule in the hearts and minds of the Supreme Court justices:  Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Anthony Kennedy, Sonia Sotomayor, Stephen Breyer, Samuel Alito and Elena Kagan.  Court observers say this decision will very likely come down to how Justice Kennedy and Chief Justice Roberts vote.

Pray for the attorneys who are defending God’s plan for marriage—that they will have strength, health, wisdom, the very best arguments presented in the very best way, insight, courage, and appropriate boldness.

Pray that God will confuse the minds and the words of those attorneys who are arguing to redefine marriage.

Pray that church leaders all across the country will speak up knowledgeably and wisely on this issue, helping their people to understand this is not a political issue but a biblical issue.

In the absence of any elected official or any ministry leader calling the state to prayer, we are honored to do so. At the end of this, God may choose to allow His institution of marriage to be dishonored in our country—or He may because of the persistent and passionate prayers of His people give us yet more grace.  Regardless of the outcome, our responsibility as Christians is to faithfully pray. Will you join us?
