WISCONSIN SPRING NON-PARTISAN GENERAL ELECTION
TUESDAY, APRIL 1, 2008

Tuesday, April 1 is Wisconsin’s Spring Non-Partisan Election. The only statewide race in this election is for a seat on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court. The other statewide issue is a referendum regarding the governor’s veto power. In addition to these statewide matters, there will be a myriad of local races on the ballots—from alderman to mayors, from county supervisors to school board members, from town supervisors to circuit court races and even a couple of appellate court positions.

To help you prepare for this election, Wisconsin Family Council (WFC) has produced an educational Voter Information Sheet (see options below), featuring information on the two Supreme Court candidates and on the statewide referendum. The Voter Information Sheet is strictly educational and can therefore be distributed in churches.

The polls will be open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on April 1. If you are not registered to vote, we encourage you to register with your municipal clerk before Election Day. However, by Wisconsin law, you can register the day you vote, if you have appropriate identification. Please see our SALT (Salt And Light Together) Ministries Voter Registration Resource Kit for more information on registering to vote and/or holding a voter registration drive.
